A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
“Feyre’s survival rests upon her ability to hunt and kill – the forest where she lives is a cold, bleak place in the long winter months. So when she spots a deer in the forest being pursued by a wolf, she cannot resist fighting it for the flesh. But to do so, she must kill the predator and killing something so precious comes at a price …
Dragged to a magical kingdom for the murder of a faerie, Feyre discovers that her captor, his face obscured by a jewelled mask, is hiding far more than his piercing green eyes would suggest. Feyre’s presence at the court is closely guarded, and as she begins to learn why, her feelings for him turn from hostility to passion and the faerie lands become an even more dangerous place. Feyre must fight to break an ancient curse, or she will lose him forever. ” ~ Description from Goodreads
This book was pretty amazing. So much so I bought the rest of the books in this series by the time I was half way through. I am officially on the ACOTAR fandom train and haven been sitting here kicking myself in the ass for putting off this read for so long!
This book was action packed! It gave me ALL the feels. Lucien and his comments always make me laugh. I love this world and I can honestly say that I am emotionally attached to these characters.
This book was the perfect example of how I like my fantasy novels to be. It had a great balance between war, romance, humor, was just twisted enough…. not once was I bored.
Going to leave this post short and sweet. More thoughts to come with my post of A Court of Mist and Fury…. I dove straight into book 2 without pause…
Do you love this series? Do you hate it? TELL ME WHY IN THE COMMENTS!
