Magical Artifacts (OwlCrate Jan.2019)

First OwlCrate box of the year!! WOOHOO!! OwlCrate delivery is my favorite day of the month. I wish I had more than one book subscription box honestly so I could have endless bookish surprises! So, the first box for 2019 was themed “Magical Artifacts”. There was a change to the boxes for 2019 so lets just dive right in!

The front of the spoiler card always features some amazing art work. I am in LOVE with this Alice in Wonderland inspired piece. Can’t wait to hang it up!

Next up, as always, is the monthly pin. This is the change in 2019! In previous boxes, the pin always featured a small part of the art on the spoiler card. Now they are enamel pins and this first one is beautiful! I have all my pins packed (moving in two weeks) but I cant wait to display this one on a cork board!

These “Master of Death” socks are just awesome! Yay Harry Potter! I am one of those people who believe there is no such thing in too much Harry Potter merchandise. These are long socks and are great for this winter weather. I already wore them in boots and they were super comfortable. I am not disappointed here.

The next item in the January 2019 Magical Artifacts box was this pretty nifty Lord of the Rings / Hobbit item. This is a wooden letter opener. I hit 30 years old this month and now I have a letter opener…. I feel so grown up! Haha! I haven’t decided if I am going to display it next to Frodo (I have a Frodo figure from a LootCrate last year) or if I am going to actually utilize it to stab open my bills…. Time will tell.

There was this beautiful golden antler bracelet inspired by Shadow and Bone. I love this! I’ve worn it twice already! Rumor has it Shadow and Bone is also going to be a Netflix series. I hope this is true! (I have not read the series yet though…. I need to get on that ASAP).

This cute bag was inspired by A Darker Shade of Magic and I mean come on…. Who doesn’t like some V.E. Schwab? I went on a trip for my birthday and this turned out to be the perfect makeup bag. OwlCrate always sends great quality items.

This is a silky The Golden Compass wall tapestry. I think it is adorable. In the new place I cant wait to hang it with others in my reading corner.

I actually laughed when I saw this in the box…. So my OwlCrate arrived 2 days before I had to leave to go to the airport. My luggage tag was missing… I opened my Magical Artifacts box and there was a luggage tag inspired by The Gilded Wolves!!! I thought that was pretty awesome! It survived TWO international airports so far! Love this tag.

After seeing that luggage tag, it makes sense that the main event is THE GILDED WOLVES! This edition is beautiful! I like the cover change to silver. The image on the book itself is pretty awesome. And as always there is a letter from the author and the book is signed. This book has been on my “to be read” for a while now so I can’t wait to start it!

The February theme is Whimsical Beast! This box is on sale NOW! (I was late getting this post up since I was on vacation) Click the link below to check out the February box and sign up! You wont want to miss out!
