The Dwarf Did It...

LoNg TiMe No SeE

Where have I been????

I know, ~…. The Dwarf Did It… just kind of….. DIED the last two months! Well to start off, I got sick TWICE. I had two colds back to back right before Thanksgiving and it was absolute hell. One good thing came of it…. I quit smoking cold turkey. I have been smoke free for the last two months now. YAY!

Now let’s go ahead and skip to December because I know I gave a bit of an MIA update in November because I had mentioned/posted pics about the kittens we rescued (Florin and Fillory).

December was good. Did all the Christmas things. There was book mail and book presents all of which I was very excited about. I didn’t do any blog post because I DIDNT READ ANYTHING! Can you believe that? No books were read in December….. It’s ok though. I spent a lot of time with the family, baked more stuff then I normally do in a year, etc…. I also didn’t have a cell phone for the month of December. My phone had broken and I just didnt replace it. That is why The Dwarf Did It… seemed to have died all over. Wasnt just the blog… it was Twitter and Instagram too. I do have a new phone now so as bookmail and stuff arrives I will be posting again!

The day after Christmas our rescue kitten that we were going to keep, Florin, died. I cried about it for a week and a half. Cant save them all in rescue…. It did inspire me to get back into volunteer work again. I’m going on a trip to Colorado for my birthday this month and then in February we are moving. Once I pass those two hurdles I am going to sign up at the animal shelter to be a foster mom for neonatal kittens. YAY! R.I.P Flo…. Your memory will be kept close to my heart.

I did get my Owl Crate for December and it was AWESOME as always. There wont be pictures or a post for this one. (Didn’t have a phone remember). I got an AMAZING reading planner for 2019 in it that I am already using everyday. The book was Amber and Dusk. That I might have scored a pic of…….

FOUND ONE! I have the ARC too that I never got around to reading, The Owl Crate one is purple/pinkish and is signed. There will be an Owl Crate post for January.

My kid also got his Raddish subscription box. I wasn’t super impressed with the holiday recipes but we had a blast making the hot cocoa cupcake. I KNOW I have a pic of those…. Let me dig around for a second……….

The January Raddish subscription box has already come and has a pretty awesome theme this month! It’s all about French cuisine! I’ll make a post about that before I leave on my birthday trip.

New Years Eve was ok….. There was a bit drama but it set the stage for some major improvement and growth in 2019. Lots of good things to come this year! I set some very manageable resolutions.

This month is also the first read for a book club I joined! We are reading The Wicked Deep. This will also be my first review in 2019 and is the first step in getting back on track with reading and reviews.

That’s about it for now…. Just keep an eye out on Instagram and Twitter for my comeback….
