The Dwarf Did It...

Ruthless Royals (OwlCrate 08/18)

What time is it? It’s Owl Crate time!! The August theme was Ruthless Royals and had some pretty unique stuff in it this month.

First item up is the pin. Owl Crate always includes a pin that features part of that month’s spoiler card graphic. I’m glad they chose the darker royal in  the picture because the one in the pink dress would have been a little too girly for me.

Book lovers never have enough bookmarks right? These wicked queens are just cute as can be! These are a three pack of magnetic bookmarks by CRAFTEDVAN. The print was different on both sides. As you can see, I’m already using mine while I read an ARC of Sadie. They are holding up to my book abuse so far. Nicely made item that is now my go to bookmark.

This is a cool item. It’s an adjustable ring and it’s HUGE! It’s unique too. And genuine agate. I personally havent seen a ring like this. The ring/setting part kind of looks like brass or bronze. gives it an antique feel in my opinion. I could see medieval royalty rocking this rock.

A book quote art print from Before She Ignites

This was an item inspired by The Belles. This is a pretty heavy-duty compact mirror. The mirror also magnifies which is great!

This was a really cool book tin. The pictures here do not to it justice. It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! It is just a little tin trinket box that is shaped like a book and has Holly Black quotes on it. It’s a decent size and secures tightly so you can put your treasures in it and still set it on display like a book.

This Throne of Glass item was not something I was expecting to find in a book subscription box but that’s what makes Owl Crate so much fun! They step outside the box and dare to be different. This is actually a tea towel… That’s right…. a tea towel. So not my book obsession is spreading to my kitchen and not just in the way of whimsical tea and coffee. I love this item. I almost want to frame it before hanging it in the kitchen >.>

The main event! The book! So for the August Ruthless Royals box we got an exclusive copy of Grace and Fury with an author’s note. This cover is STUNNING!!

Owl Crate comes with a little magazine every month that posts the photo challenges, info and Q/As with the vendors, artist, and authors as well as a comparison of the Owl Crate cover and the store-bought cover. Sometimes the changes are subtle but LOOK AT THIS DIFFERENCE THIS MONTH! I am in loooovveee with the Owl Crate edition of Grace and Fury.

Then to top off the amazingness of this book…. IT’S SIGNED!

The book itself also came with its own double-sided bookmark so in a way you get a little but of the original over too.

That’s all for August! The theme for September is Masters Of Disguise and is going to have a lot of amazing fandoms including Harry Potter, Six of Crows, The Diabolic, The Kiss of Deception, and A Darker Shade of Magic. Cant wait to see what items we get!

Now…. I HATE spoilers, but rumor on the street is that the book in September is going to be Mirage by Somaiya Daud….. Now this is just MY GUESS based on the description hint we were given. I have already read an ARC of this book this year so i can say IF this is the case you WONT want to miss this box and you will probably regret missing out on the exclusive cover. It’s soooo worth it Sign Up – Click Here
