The Dwarf Did It...

The Pirate Bride

The Pirate Bride by Kathleen Y’Barbo

This was the first book I’ve read by this author. I requested this book from NetGalley because I have a HUGE pirate obsession and New Orleans is the city that has my heart. I really enjoyed this read. It was fun, adventurous, and comical at times. It’s laced with a little mystery and a smidgen of romance. Maribel (our leading lady) was sassy and quick witted and sure did give Captain Jean a run for his money for 11years! In more ways than one of course. She was a hot headed crew member at 12, disappears for 11 years and was presumed dead, just to run into him again in New Orleans. This was well written and easy to follow. A quick, light weekend read that also put forth a strong sense of faith/the power of prayer. I loved it and would love to read more books in this series. I will be looking into printed versions in the future for my collection and/or to review in the future. The epub for this book didn’t adapt well to my kindle which was a little disappointing but it was probably just the ARC I received.
