The Dwarf Did It...

Oh Boy…. LootCrate Feb. 2018…..

I’m going start by saying that most of the time I LOVE LootCrate. This month though, I was not very impressed with what was in the box. Lets just dive right into this. I kind of feel bad when I know I’m going to be posting a critical review but I will ALWAYS post my honest opinion. The pictures for this one aren’t going to be that great. In my disappointment I didn’t spend too much time on it. Lets just dive right in………

So February’s theme this month was Protect. This LootCrate featured items from Black Panther, The Expanse, Pacific Rim, and Fallout.

Here is a look at what was inside the subscription box this month and who it was by.  Looks impressive…. This crate got A LOT of hype for the month of February because of the release of Black Panther in movie theatres. Needless to say, I was stoked! And then, the crate came……

This is everything laid out. The box itself was cool this month. Every month when you receive your LootCrate, If you turn the box inside out it turns into something. This month as you can see, the box turned into a vault. I liked that. I’ll be keeping it to store some stuff in.

The Black Panther shirt is cool. The material is really soft and comfortable. LootCrate always has high quality shirts in it. I feel like the print on the shirt was generic and boring. I don’t feel like there is anything special about the look of the t-shirt and actually got mad when I went to Walmart and saw a much cooler graphic tee there.

The Pacific Rim coasters where sadly a disappointment. I love coasters to put on the coffee table and put my cocktails on. Sadly, I will not be using these coasters. The coasters are a made of cork and very flimsy. The print on it are glued on and more than likely fall apart with use.

My Expanse figurine looked awesome!!!!! I took it out of the, put it together to display it on my shelf…. The figurine will not stay put together. The ship will not stay on the little pegs that are part of the display. The ship just falls over. The only way I can see to fix it is to glue it together. Something no collector really wants to do.

This is the Fallout print. Unrolled. It’s pretty cool and very detailed. It’s just a scenery print. Nothing special here.

The Loot Pin this month unlocked an app game. I gave this to my son. It was too childish for my taste.

Now I know that with subscriptions months will be hit or miss. For me, this box was a huge miss. I feel like LootCrate could have done way better with these franchises. Last month was AWESOME. I’m hoping that next month will redeem itself . Below is a picture of my LootCrate from January that rocked and the theme for next months LootCrate. I have high hopes for next month.
